it's not a trick, it's an illusion

Yay....i'm on my lunch break at work right now. once again i packed my lunch and today's menu is leftovers from last night's dinner courtesy of Buca di Pepo. it was great.
Now the drive so far has been tolerable, i guess. when i worked at best buy, people would always ask me how i can drive from torrance to irvine everyday. well...it was an easy 30 minute drive i'd reply. besides, most of my shifts helped me avoid the heavy traffic in either direction i was going. also, in retrospect, i knew that, if i got a job in la, the drive would be a 30 minute drive as well. so now that i have job in la and i am commuting from torrance, it's still a 30-40 minute drive, but still a slightly different one nonetheless. there's like traffic in the morning drive and on the drive home and that really sucks. but so far, i'm carpooling with Rendell so i have someone to talk to.
what also makes the morning commute tolerable is KROQ's morning show, Kevin and Bean. man...those guys are beneficial in two ways: they make me laugh and they, subsequently, help me wake up. Yesterday, they were talking about cartoon characters that turn them on. all but one of them agreed that cartoon characters were hot. it was funny hearing who they were talking about. off the top of my head, the list included the following: jessica rabbit, belle, jasmine, pocahantas, lois lane, judy jetson, and betty rubble. betty rubble was the interesting selection cuz the discussion brought up the fact that she was hot up until the point when the made a live screen version of the cartoon since rosie o'donnell portrayed her. anyways...some callers called in to offer suggestions and some of those guys are just freaks. today was also funny cause the did a segment called "Does Kevin know?". they ask questions and a caller has to guess how many he'll get right. damn...kevin doesn't know shit. kevin, an avid laker fan, couldn't remember the laker's starting point guard. it was funny though cuz bean called it and said it would be one of those questions that he should know but won't remember.
so i have an hour for lunch. it's not something i'm used to. i'm more accustomed to half hour lunchs so i'm good at finishing my food fast and having time to chill and do nothing. but, with an hour to spare, i can take time to eat my food and still have time to chill. not bad and it allows me to accumulate energy for the last 3 hrs of work i have when my lunch concludes. alright....i'm gonna go surf the net now. laters on.
