state of the cubicle address
i've been sick for over a week now but i'm starting to feel better. it's funny in my household because everyone's gotten it. it started off with my nieces of course. then to my sisters, my uncle, and myself. and now my parents are screwed. yay for kids! and i missed the laker-cavs game yesterday cause i felt like crap. boo.
i want to buy a new lens. preferably a telephoto lens that's f/2.8. the nikon 80-200 f/2.8 looks good. it's been around for awhile and is affordable by lens standards. the 70-200 f/2.8 with VR would be uber nice, but the price isn't. here's the dilemma, the Photo Marketing Association Annual Show (PMA 2007) is coming up. so there might be some stuff announced that might be rather enticing. dammit. spending too much again. the good thing is, the stuff i've been buying have been put to use. so it's not too bad. i guess. i need to take more pictures. i feel i've been neglecting my camera in favor of playing too much video games. i did take a few nice shots last weekend. i'll post them when i got home. just a few pictures of mountains and clouds that not only looked good on my LCD screen after i took them but also looked good on my computer when i uploaded them. yeahyerrr. makes me want a super wide angle lens now and do more landscape shots. not that i have my eye on a tokina 12-24 f/4 or anything. nor do i know what that is.
you know what makes me sad? my earlier entries. my writing style has changed. well..what i perceived to be my style. it was more fearless back then. in a completely dorky and illiterate kind of way. now....a bit more guarded. i don't know. i like to think i just don't write consistently enough that it takes me a while to warm up. that and i try to be more responsible at work by not blogging while i'm at work. i need to change the design of my page too. haven't done that in awhile. i intended to when i dow... um...installed Photoshop CS2, but never got around to it. i'll sort through my pictures and see if i can find inspiration for a new design.
the draft is nine weeks away. my team has the first pick of every round of the draft. well..aside from any later round picks that they might have traded away in the past. who to grab, i don't know. JaMarcus Russell? i actually drafted him on my Madden franchise two years ago and he was GLORIOUS. till his contract demands were too high and i traded his ass. Calvin Johnson? i like his attitude, he catches everything thrown at him, and doesn't argue with refs. He was also timed with a 4.3 40. holy shitnuts. Adrian Peterson? upright running styles leads to injuries i've read. and he's ran the ball a lot in college so his health is scary. i don't know.
the lakers are on a 5 game losing streak. i will avoid using obscenities and remark with a "sigh."
