Hello,

As you may tell, i'm quite bored here at...my present location. it is quite obvious by the numerous pirates i've attacked on facebook and the few superpokes i sent out. also, by the fact that i've decided to write something for the first time in a month. it's not that i haven't wanted to write a few things down. i almost wrote a few entries before our european excursion, but circumstances discouraged me from. i just had quite a few things on my mind and didn't want them to leak into my writings. sure, i could've addressed them cryptically as i've tried to in the past, but it seemed too risky to me. that and, unlike the past, i was actually happy and excited about what i was keeping to myself instead of the usual news that i feared, dreaded or grew despondent over. yeah....things change. i'm quite happy they have.

europe was awesome. best trip ever. just me, millicent, three foreign countries, and guest appearances by joyce and jay buangan. London...so different from what i remember. apparently when i was there years ago, we never got up close and personal to the noteworthy sites as Millicent and I did...frak...over a month ago. Paris was and will continue to be special. Barcelona was nice and Gaudi was a badass motherfucker. Seville was nice and, apparently, dangerous at night. being lost in Paris with 10 euros after the metros had closed is a scary experience. but, hey, we survived. i'm ready to go back. and i'll write more about our trip when i have the time and after i put up the pictures online.

also, if you are armed with a dslr i cannot stress the importance of an ultra-wide angle lens. tokina 12-24....i owe you. i think 90% of my shots were with that lens. cause when you fight yourself right next to a monument or a cathedral, it's kind of nice not to have to back up all the way. it also allows you to make fun of the people that have to back up a lot. er....the other 10% were indoors with my 18-200 nikon. oh..and make sure you keep track of how much storage you have. i took about at least 200 pictures a day and uploaded them to my laptop whenever i could.
