"Fuck you" that's my name!
I’m bored. It’s also stuffy in my room so I just cracked the windows open. I’m on rainy day schedule. Usually that would include hours upon hours of video games but I’ve decided to take a different course. Okay….I did play a few songs on Rock Band.
I’ve been mostly catching up on my movie watching. I have a section in my DVD shelf of movies I have yet to watch. So I watched one from that section (Glengarry Glenn Ross) with the intention of watching “The Wind That Shakes the Barley” after I write this entry. I also rented some movies yesterday in anticipation of the rain today. So I’ve watched 2 of the 3 movies I’ve rented: 28 Weeks Later and Dreamland. *Spoiler alert* 28 Weeks Later I liked except for one thing: the most persistent infected person is also a relative of one of the supervisors. He just keeps showing up like he was chasing them on purpose which kind of takes liberties with the whole “rage” effect. *End of spoilers* Dreamland was okay. Didn’t finish strong enough for me though it was interesting enough that I don’t regret renting it.
Also started thinking about old songs I used to listen to. Not that far back like elementary, jr high, and high school. Stuff from my last two years of college. Actually, the time I started listening to Ataris, Saves the Day, Jimmy Eat World, etc. so…my college years except for my freshman year. For some reason, Slick Shoes “Angel” popped into my head and I remember how much I really, really liked the song. How, to promote their album, they performed at the campus Wherehouse and they even sang the song. I was so happy. Which is odd cause I think the song was written with a bittersweet tone. I had to think for a second if this was true but then I hear “I wish I could mean all that you mean to me” and I think I’m right. Shouldn’t be that odd though. Those were my songs.
Curious, I opened up my itunes to see what songs I have listened to the most since I’ve had an ipod. The top 10 are:
1. Saves the Day “Sell My Old Cothes, I’m Off to Heaven”
2. Jason Mraz “0% Interest”
3. Saves the Day “Hold”
4. Fall Out Boy “Growing Up”
5. Early November “Baby Blue”
6. Jimmy Eat World “Work”
7. Fall Out Boy “Short Fast and Loud”
8. This Day and Age “Seven-Eighty”
9. Death Cab for Cutie “Expo ‘86”
10. Metric “Calculation Theme”
I’m kind of surprised. There are some songs I thought would be higher. I think if I had itunes longer, Yellowcard “Rough Draft” would be in the top 5 cause I used to listen to that song religiously. Oddly enough, no Weezer “Why Bother?” which was at 15.
Comments
