because whining about it will always solve the problem
spoiler alert. i will discuss some parts of heroes. fyi.
so recently i learned the term "idiot plot." per turkey city lexicon via wikipedia, idiot plot is a plot that "functions only because all the characters involved are idiots: They behave in a way that suits the author's convenience, rather than through any rational motivation of their own." it's helping me enjoy Heroes to a certain extent. as long as i assume everyone on the show is an idiot, the show is much more enjoyable. yeah...it's not the case with all the characters but man....a whole lot of them. like a lot of them conveniently forget about the powers they have. why can't hiro just go back in time and stop himself from opening the safe? i don't know. but i'll continue to watch. maybe they should've avoided time travel powers. too many problems with that. one...it's been a main plot point 3 years running. season 1, this is what the future looks like, prevent it! season 2, this is the dark future we need to prevent, don't let it happen! season 3, peter still has a scar and sylar is good, fix it! but i guess if there's one thing to learn in sci fi, is that tampering with the past never secures the "proper" future. maybe that's why hiro won't do that with preventing the opening of the safe. i don't know. just whining. yay.
